Wet Paint...

                                                                         SOLD

This little crab seemed determined to hold his ground until I whispered two little words..."Crab Cake"... then he wasn't so brave... For this 12x12, oil/canvas I tried out a different medium in the studio today. It is a mixture of gamsol, stand oil and dammar varnish. It gave a nice smooth feel to the paint and kept it feeling fluid with no stickiness or drag.

This is awesome Greg! I've come back to it now three times to look at the colors. There is an exquisite sensitivity to color evident in your most recent works (thinking "Melaleukas" as well as this one). Keep on doing what you're doing (and tell me how to do it please!)

Greg, this one is reeally beautiful. Love the distinct colors and the value range. VERY nice! (and thanks for your idea about the sky on my blog -- I think I may try that!)

Grat little painting. I like your (human) figure work, too. Glad to have found you through Camille.
